I recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza Manchester City Centre, and to be honest, it was a mixed experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome, but the cleaning standards in my room were disappointing. The hotel’s location is perfect for exploring the city, but the dining experience left something to be desired with some issues in the lounge and restaurant setups.

Rooms
6.0
My room was spacious with a comfy bed, but it was a bit dusty and I found a dirty tissue on the floor that wasn’t cleared during my stay.
Service
7.0
The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were polite; however, some of the lounge service felt a bit disorganized with limited options during peak times.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is excellent, just a short walk from attractions like the Arndale Centre and convenient for public transport.
Dining
5.0
The food was quite nice when I dined at the bar, but the lounge’s setup was impractical and the breakfast experience wasn’t great, especially when the fridge door fell off.
Facilities
6.0
The club lounge had potential but was poorly arranged, making it frustrating to access food and drinks; there was also a lack of attention to cleanliness.

I had a really nice stay at the Crowne Plaza Manchester City Centre, with excellent service from the friendly staff who were always willing to help. My room was spacious and clean, although I found the shower size a bit small. The breakfast buffet was decent, but I had to wait for items to be replenished, which was frustrating. Overall, it was a good experience, but there's room for improvement.

Rooms

The room was spacious and very clean, featuring a comfy bed and well-stocked amenities. However, the shower was on the smaller side, and I struggled a bit with the air conditioning, as it only went down to 17 degrees.
Service
9.0
The staff were excellent, always friendly and quick to respond when I had issues, like the maintenance for the TV. They made me feel welcome and looked after throughout my stay.
Location

The location is perfect for exploring Manchester, just a short walk to the arena and various attractions. It made my trip so much easier as I didn't have to deal with transport hassles.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast had great potential with a variety of options, but I faced long waits and items running out, which made it less enjoyable. Still, the self-service layout worked well, and the dining area was pleasant.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had good facilities, but I found the overall maintenance when it came to breakfast service lacking. Room service was efficient, however, and the extras like complimentary drinks in the lounge were a nice touch.

I had a mixed experience during my stay. The central location was fantastic for exploring the city, and the room was beautifully clean and comfortable. However, the check-in process was frustratingly slow, and the dining experience left much to be desired due to the cold atmosphere and insufficient service.

The hotel is ideally situated near the Arndale Centre, making it convenient for shopping and local attractions.
Dining

Unfortunately, the dining experience was disappointing due to a cold atmosphere and a lack of attention to dietary needs, which resulted in us returning our main courses.

My stay at Crowne Plaza Manchester City Centre was a mixed bag. While I appreciated the friendly staff and the central location, I faced several issues that detracted from my experience. The cleanliness of my room was questionable, and I encountered delays at breakfast that left me feeling overlooked. Overall, it was a decent stay with room for improvement.

Rooms
6.0
I had high hopes for my room but was disappointed. Initially, I was given a room next to the noisy lifts. The second room had a strong paint odor, and the twin beds took up too much space. The comfort of the bed was good, but the room temperature was too cold, making it uncomfortable until late in the evening when it finally warmed up on its own.
Service
7.0
The staff were generally friendly, and I received an apology for my issues. However, I felt neglected during breakfast when no one approached me to offer service. It was frustrating to have to seek help instead of being attended to immediately.
Location
9.0
The hotel's central location was excellent, making it easy for me to access shopping and dining options around the city. I was just a short walk from the Arndale Centre and other attractions, which I really appreciated.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast had a good variety, but I encountered some issues, like overcooked bacon and the lack of attention from staff. It was disappointing to find myself sitting alone without any follow-up from the staff during breakfast.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had some nice amenities, like the club lounge, but my experience there was not great. The space was full when I tried to access it, and there were limited snacks available. Overall, the facilities could improve to match the brand's quality.

My stay at the Crowne Plaza Manchester City Centre was quite enjoyable, though there were some hiccups. The hotel is beautifully designed and located conveniently near the city center, making it easy to explore. However, I encountered issues with the check-in process that felt a bit unwelcoming. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel for its comfort and location but hope for a more polished arrival experience next time.

Rooms

My room was spacious and elegantly decorated, contributing to a restful stay. I appreciated the comfortable bed that provided a great night's sleep, though I did notice some areas of furniture that could use updating.

While the housekeeping staff was attentive and kept my room pristine, my arrival experience was lacking in warmth at the front desk, which left me feeling a bit unwelcome.

The hotel's location is fantastic – just a short walk from Manchester Victoria Rail Station and within easy reach of shopping and attractions, which I found ideal for both business and leisure.
Dining

Room service was efficient, and I enjoyed the in-house Balti curry. Breakfast offerings seemed good, though I didn’t partake during my visit. I’m sure it would have met expectations based on other feedback.

There were excellent amenities, including a gym for keeping active, though I didn’t utilize it during my stay. The atmosphere around the bar was pleasant, enhancing the overall ambiance.
